Herman 2, Brian 0

Herman the ermine has returned, and it’s time to employ that rat trap. Sometime around three in the morning, I was asleep on my back with one hand up behind my head, when the little critter came up and tickled me under my arm. I bolted upright in bed in time to hear his frantic running and his nails clicking against the floor (and I think I heard him giggling) as he rounded the corner and down his hole. Now, as I’ve said before, I don’t really want to bump this little guy off, but climbing in bed with me in the middle of the night is a deal breaker. From now on, we’re baiting that trap with our best half-smoked salmon, and waiting for the SNAP! to go off in the middle of the night. I know I’ll still feel bad if he gets it.
