Well, at least it will be in August.

Stephanie and Jacob and I went to an ultrasound appointment in Fairbanks on Tuesday morning. In a darkened room, and waving her magic wand, the technician produced all of those prenatal images that doctors want to see: hands, feet, spine, organs, brain, etc.

Oh, and girl parts. That’s how the technician labeled the picture when she printed it out: “girl parts.” When we had Jacob’s ultrasound, the technician did the same thing and labeled the photo “boy parts.” We didn’t think anything of sharing photos of his labeled little pecker then, but now seeing a detailed photo labeled “girl parts” sounds a little… well… indelicate.

So here we go. With prayers of worship and thanksgiving, we’re gonna have a girl, and Jacob’s gonna have a little sister, sometime in late August.
