Stephanie is in Fairbanks waiting for Alexa to arrive. On Monday morning, I packed up and headed for Circle so that I could begin to get us settled in our new place, and to get things ready for school to start next Monday. I can’t believe the summer is over, and I don’t know what I am gonna do with all these kids in their various grades, subjects and levels all day long. And all I can think about is Alexa coming. The plan is for Stephanie to call me when she goes in to labor and hope that there is enough time for me to drive back to Fairbanks before the birth. It is a three to four hour drive depending on the conditions and style of driving. I have packed my things in the truck, and I am ready to split the moment I hear. Pins and needles.
