Today was the third day of school, and I'm barely hanging on. The school phone rang today. One of my students has the job of answering the phone, and when she handed me the phone and told me it was Stephanie I thought "This is it." Stephanie wouldn't call me during the day otherwise. She had just gotten home from a sonogram to find the baby's current weight and try to determine the chances of a natural birth. In the process, Stephanie discovered that our baby girl, Alexa, is going to be a boy after all. A boy. Wow. It was a shocker here at the end. Not that we're disappointed. Far from it. It's just that we'd gotten really used to caller the baby "her" and "Alexa." But this is gonna be great, too. A brother for Jacob. This is good.
