Since Circle is one of the few of our schools on the road system, there is more opportunity to get students out on the road for field trips. There are only about 24 students attending this school, but still, the bus picks them up and drops them off every day. There is a bus driver, too, so I won’t be the one driving them every day. But it is good to have the license for the occasional trip to Fairbanks or points beyond. So I have been in Fairbanks this past week taking the most droll classes, 10 hours a day, watching the cheesy ‘70’s videos of school bus accident reenactments. “Little did they know, they were destined for disaster.” Dum, dum, DUMMMMM. Anyway, after an unbelievably long week of 10+ hour days of instruction and mind numbing waits at the DMV, I have my CDL and school bus permit.
