Where's the Picture Man?
Yesterday was picture day at the Circle School. A Life Touch school photographer from Anchorage flew and then drove to arrive at our school. He did a great job. He was very generous with his time and pictures, taking more than simply the head shots. He took pictures of our kids in class and during their gym time. He also took pictures all around the school and of the snow and frost outside.
He was chatty and talked to everyone who came in. After staying the night in the school on Sunday night, and taking pictures on Monday, he left between two and three in the afternoon. He had told me that he was driving back to Fairbanks to overnight and then driving on to Minto on Tuesday.
Life Touch corporate offices called our school today to see if the photographer was still here. A concerned sounding lady on the phone said that the school in Minto had called them to say that the photographer had not shown up as scheduled. I assured her that he had indeed left, twenty fours hours ago.
I’m sure he’s fine. Wherever he is. I mean, people do go off the road, but surely someone would have seen him if he put it in the ditch and spent the night somewhere along the way. I was sorry I couldn’t give the lady on the phone more information, and now I'm wondering where he might be.
Melissa should be having a baby right about now. I know we’re all sending good thoughts toward her.
NaBloPoMo day 20.

Phone message from today: "Hi Brian, this is Debbie with Life Touch Photography here in Fairbanks. I just wanted to give you a call and let you know that we found [our photographer] yesterday and he’s perfectly fine. He was just running a little bit late and took a detour that we didn’t know about. So he is fine and perfectly safe so thank you again for returning my call and all your help yesterday, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mmmbyebye."
