Right Flank.... March!
Last night when it was time to put Jacob to bed, I hoisted him onto my shoulder where he loves to ride and where I love to carry him. On the way from the living room to the bedroom I turned several corners and for some reason reverted back to high school marching band days as I executed a few of those snappy sharp right turns. Jacob got so tickled he laughed out loud. This of course made me do an about face and throw in a couple more snappy lefts, rights and to-the-rears with Jacob on my shoulders experiencing ever greater fits of laughter. As he’d laugh, I’d turn again causing him to lose his breath for a moment and choke before laughing again. He’d laugh and I’d turn and he’d choke, then gag, and I’d turn again and then he vomited, recovered, and continued to laugh again. Yup. Threw up on my head. And laughed and laughed. I gotta say, any time I can make my boy laugh so hard he throws up, well, that’s a win.
