Summer Goals

Many people make New Year’s resolutions, but I’ve never really been into that. But as warmer temperatures and sunlight announce spring, and knowing that the freedom of summer is just around the corner, I’ve been thinking about some goals for this summer. Here are a few:
1.    Hike the Pinnell Mountain trail. This will be, for me, a four day/four night solo hike. Unless anyone out there wants to come along?
2.    Read the Bible from front to back in one stretch, and blog about the experience. I’ve read all of it a number of times. Some parts more often, other parts less often. All in bits and pieces. But I’ve been wondering, what if I’d never read a word of it? What if I could erase all of it from my mind and experience it for the first time. That’s my plan. I’ll read it and share my thoughts. Anyone out there want to read along?
3.    Become Highly Qualified in math by studying for and passing the Praxis II test in math.
4.    (Possible goal, if conditions are favorable) Float the Birch Creek from the upper put-in to the lower. An eight to ten day float. Anyone want to float along?

This is in addition to the other plans we also have for the summer, including camping, fishing, house browsing, reading, sleeping, playing with boys, etc. Come on summer!

I wish I could share your goals, but my location and work will not allow me to do so. The 2nd goal might be doable, so I'll give that at try.
