Afternoon Walk to the River
It was a good afternoon for a walk down to the river bank. Stephanie, Jacob and Toby took a stroll.

We have a double stroller, but this one was handy, and the boys didn't mind squeezing together.

I'm actually suprised Jacob didn't push Toby out. He was being a good big brother just then.

We stopped to throw rocks in the river. While Jacob is a pro at throwing rocks into water, Toby is just getting the hang of it. We encouraged him with, "Good job, Toby!" after every throw, while ignoring Jacob's throws. Jacob didn't like this. He began to shout at us, "GOOD JOB, JACOB!" after each of his own thows. Yes, Jacob, good job.

The glassy smooth Yukon River. This is actually a slough, with the main channel passing just on the other side of that island seen on the left.
Jacob was being a very good brother. He hung on to Toby closely.

It had just had a good rain earlier in the day.

That boy. He is jumping off the steps of the now defunct Yukon Riverview Motel. The boy's got some ups.

Oh, Jan said that photograph of the path with trees forming a canopy looked like a Monet painting. I agree. The colorful leaves in focus in the foreground, then the soft focus toward the end of the path. It was so cool and beautiful. I want all those pictures in hi-res file on a CD or DVD, if possible. I started a list of I which ones I want, but then the list got too long.
