Permission
Life is complex, and my life is particularly complex right now. I have a lot going on, and though most of this is by choice, it is wearing me down. I’m working too hard, sleeping too little, and recreating exactly none so it seems.
That being said, I am giving myself permission to not post on any given day this November if I find myself out of ideas, out of energy, or out of time. I knew finishing was a long shot, given my current work load. I will have to prioritize my time carefully, and I foresee days (nights) when the choices will be to write a post, go to bed, or complete any of the dozen other tasks screaming for attention. On some days the post will come in last and may be skipped all together.
Nablopomo is a mountain I’ve scaled before, and I will no doubt stand on its summit again someday. But I may not summit this trip, and that’s okay. I’ll still enjoy hefting the pack, working the muscles, and enjoying the view along the way.
The purpose of this is to get all of us thinking, writing, and posting more, and sincere kudos to all of you who have taken up the challenge. I am surely enjoying keeping up with the handful of you more closely, and I sense you guys are enjoying it as well. Compliments to you for a job well done. Keep it up!
