You Think the Price of Gas is High?

"A typical Anchorage household pays about $850 a year for home heating, while a Fairbanks household pays more than $4,000, according to state figures."

An article in the Fairbanks News Miner that gives us pause as the home we are buying averages 127 gallons a month, and fuel oil prices are expected to be over $5 a gallon this winter.

sometimes its good to remember that some things are more expensive than gas by the gallon. wine by the gallon (depending on which brand), some flavors of ice cream can be more expensive by the gallon, a gallon of liquid gold, etc.

i, for one, am glad my honda doesn't run on whiskey! now that would be expensive!
