Honeymoon: Part 6 of 6

I know I have rambled on long enough, but I hope you enjoyed just a few of the many stories from our trip. There is so much more… like the crooked money changers, the batik painting we bought, the boys with the kites, the birth control mishap, the Balinese massage hag, the annoying spoon salesman, families on mopeds, joining the MHC, and seeing the Indonesian President with protestors and military personnel filling the street (it was a scene straight of CNN). I could go on for days. So much of the trip was straight tourist stuff, and it was really cool, but the trip also included a lot of rough edges and unexpected turns that made it a memorable trip.

Now we are home and back to reality. It has taken us a while to unpack, get laundry done, sort through wedding gifts and generally get back in the swing of things. Thank you notes are going out in the next few days. We’re sorry they have taken so long, but we hope you see that we have been busy. Stephanie is back to her second graders at Butterfield Elementary. They missed her a lot. I am back to my post at Anderson Hall, except my men didn’t miss me quite as much. We are having a good time settling in to our new home. As I said at the beginning, we would love to have each of you in to our home, so if you are ever west of Ft. Worth, we want you to come see us. God bless you and your family this coming year.

Alright, hope you enjoyed that jaunt into the past. I can't believe all of that took place eight years ago. Crazy. We are still west of Fort Worth, just much, much further west. Now I am rifling through other files looking for something I've written in the past that I can post here. In the meantime, Alaska continues to melt, water is running everywhere in impromptu streams, the days are achingly beautiful, I am trying to get through my final duties and final papers, still job hunting (in the decision making phase), and looking forward to going home later today to kiss my wife, hold my girls, and be goofy with my boys.
