Snow Bubbles
This past Friday, Tobias decided it was about time he started to walk. Unlike Jacob, who pushed his personal envelope by adding one tentative step each day, Toby just started walking. He’s been walking ever since. It’s so weird to see that little man tottering along. Jacob, it seems, has been jealous of the attention. We have been sitting on the floor with our arms and legs spread open to encourage Toby to walk toward us. Jacob has begun imitating Toby by standing right in front of us and taking short mincing steps toward us before falling into our arms.
Yesterday it started snowing here. It seems we’ve simply plunged right in to winter. It’s been snowing steadily for over twenty-four hours now, and it’s piling up. Last night, Jacob and I went outside to see the flakes drifting down. He thought they were bubbles and went about trying to pop them by smacking his palms together and then saying, “Got it!”
